Our client is a pharmaceutical and cosmetics manufacturer and distributor based in Athens, Greece that is interested in selling 100% of their business.

The asking price is € 14 million. The asking price is negotiable and depends on buyer strategy.

There are two companies based in a 30,000 m2 plot in the north-eastern suburbs of Athens, along a major highway and in close proximity to the Athens Ring Road, Airport and Lavrio Port.

Assets include a building of 7,500 m2, and an additional 20,000 m2 can be built on the plot. All operating and product licenses are in place. The company has approximately 26 active RX/OTC pharma licenses registered in Greece. The company is a registered supplier to the Ministry of Health and other public sector entities. The company has a relationship with over 10,000 doctors.

The current managers / owners are willing to stay on to support the transition.

PLATFORM FOR ACQUISITIONS: Use as a platform for additional acquisitions within Greece.

LOGISTICS & DISTRIBUTION CENTRE: Leverage the facility to provide better distribution and logistics to other products and brands in the Greek market: this will require capital expenditure. The likely candidates here would be foreign producers and Greek producers requiring a distribution partner in Athens and Greek.

EXPAND GENERIC PRODUCTION: Expanding the generic drugs production and/or production under license. The Greek pharma sector is undergoing a consolidation due to the difficult local conditions, and there are opportunities to represent foreign manufacturers.

HIGH VALUE INNOVATION: Pivot to develop high-value natural cosmetics and neutraceuticals, following the path charted by Apivita, Korres, Mastihashop and others.
