East-coast based 20+ year old business that designs and manufactures specialty high performance direct current (DC) motors, offering a complete line of controllers as well as providing engineering consulting for complete vehicle electric drive & pump systems.

Company’s market focus is golf cart, utility vehicle, neighborhood electric vehicle and hunting buggy motors. They also design motors for forklifts, ariel lifts, floorcare, airport support, agriculture, mining, go karts, warning sirens, automated guided vehicles, and other miscellaneous electric vehicle markets.

Motors range from 6.7” diameter 1 HP to as large as 25 HP. 24–72-volt system designs with mounts for Dana, Graziano and Kawasaki. All products are produced to meet class “H” temperature ratings.

Owner is looking to sell/partner with an Alternating Current (AC) manufacturer based on their need to fulfill daily requests for AC motors, which they are unable to accommodate based on not having AC engineers nor the proper manufacturing capabilities.

The ability to partner with an AC motor design and manufacturer will immediately increase sales to their 2,500 commercial and consumer customers. The company does not have a customer concentration issue; largest customer is 4% of revenue.

2023 revenue of $6.8 million with $1.6 million EBITDA.

2024 revenue of around same $6.8 million with around $1 million EBITDA due to restructuring the engineering department to facilitate the assembly of AC motors plus hiring a new Engineering VP.
