Film Equipment and Studio Rental Company

We represent an industry-leading equipment and studio rental provider for the growing Toronto film industry (the “Company”) that is seeking to be acquired. Established in 2009, the Company is uniquely positioned to serve its growing client base with all its film equipment and studio needs at one point of contact. Revenues grew from $1.5 million to $4.4 million from fiscal 2018 to 2025 at a sixteen and a half percent (16.5%) CAGR. The Company achieved consistent revenue growth during a period with temporary industry headwinds from strikes and the pandemic. Operations are highly profitable as the average EBITDA for the same period exceeds $1 million annually.

Revenues are from seven core rental classes: cameras and lenses, studios, grip, lighting, vehicles, accessories, and other specialty equipment. The revenue base is diverse and recurring. No rental revenue class is more than eighteen percent (18%) of sales, and no customer is more than six percent (6%). The first-class product and services offered have resulted in customer retention rates exceeding ninety percent (90%) across the past four years of operations. Supporting these revenues is a unique and durable asset base with an estimated replacement value of $14 million and an average estimated useful life of twenty years or more. The Company estimates that its in-demand asset base can generate rental revenues of 2.4 times its current revenues with limited additional capital expenditures. The Company is now implementing additional marketing strategies to leverage these assets further. Management has relied solely on referrals and organic growth without a sales team to achieve its strong financial and operational performance.
