A Canadian Money Services Business (MSB) licence is one of the many choices available to you for registering and initiating your payment business right away.
It can take up to 18 months to obtain an EMI licence in the UK or any other EU country; the process is costly and time-consuming. It will take at least three to four months to compile the necessary paperwork, nine to twelve months to obtain regulatory authorization, and four to six months to actually establish your basic fintech infrastructure.
One can register as a small payment institution, work as an agent under the supervision of a licenced provider, or, as a third alternative, apply for a Canadian Money Services Business (MSB) licence.
