$30M - German Patented Hydrogen from WTE

A cost-effective, patented process for converting organic and plastic wastes into usable green hydrogen.

This group is bringing to market patented technology that converts municipal solid waste (MSW), raw sewage, agricultural waste, and inorganic waste (including plastics and metal) into clean energy for on-site use or shipment, in the form of pure hydrogen (H2) or fuel.

The first step in the patented process is an oxidation-type reaction to pre-treat the inflowing waste with a high temperature reaction and ending with the chemical outflow of that reaction feeding into an electrolyzer, the final product of which is pure hydrogen or fuel for immediate or stored use as energy. Notably, the electrolyzer is a completely reversible battery for hydrogen storage as well.

The waste management industry globally is a $1.6T opportunity. They remove waste completely from burial or traditional treatment. In the US alone, there are 16,000 waste treatment plants. The largest 350 process 100 tons of waste per day. Their launch partner, a major metropolitan water and sewer entity represents .75% of the US market covering 2.5M people/businesses/tourists, a market opportunity of $1.6B in annual value through the company’s technology at a $3/GGE.

Capital Requirements: $30M to build the first commercial unit in U.A.E., with the design and installation process — the business’ first contract. Capital funds build components, the EPC, chemistry and testing, and support staff.
