Intrusion-related, polymetallic CRD deposit
Polymetallic, carbonate replacement deposits (CRDs) are an important part of Nevada’s mining industry with the Eureka District being the premier example. Renewed interest in CRDs has brought companies including I80 Gold, Reyna Silver Corp., Ridgeline Gold Corporation, NevGold Corp. and Rio Tinto into northeastern Nevada. The thick section of carbonate rocks present in the area along with regional structural trends and associated intrusive rocks make this area of the state a prime area for CRD exploration.
The RH Project is a polymetallic, intrusion-related, mid-stage, CRD exploration project in eastern Nevada. The project has had limited, historic production from gossan pods in carbonate rocks and structurally controlled breccia zones. The property comprises 99 unpatented lode claims held by a private Nevada LLC. An extensive database comprising mapping, rock-soil-and underground sampling, drilling and magnetic and gravity surveys has been compiled and has identified a 1,370 m X 460 m mineralized zone with outcrops containing high levels of silver, gold, copper, lead, zinc and bismuth.
The northern portion of the mineralized zone contains a 700 m X 460 m area of recrystallized limestone with disseminated sulfides and an abundance of small gossan zones. RC drill holes have intersected wide zones of mineralization containing mineralized, silicified, felsic dikes.
Exploration targets include high-grade CRD zones and a deeper, porphyry-style system that is the parent of the CRD mineralization.
