Colombia Joint Venture Gold Mining
Santa Elena Mine, adjacent to the Las Camelias Mine (previously operated by the British company CMC – Crucero Mining Corporation in 1947), is located in Colombia, within the Municipality of Mistrató, Department of Risaralda, in the district of Puerto de Oro. It corresponds to a historical prospect of mineral production at an artisanal and small-scale level.
The identified veins are hosted in the contact aureole with granodiorite bodies, extending up to 500 meters. Underground workings show that the quartz veins can be continuously traced for up to 150 meters, both along strike and dip.
Sampling and artisanal mining work indicate average grades of 12 g/ton of gold.
Based on the extent of mineralization and the obtained grades, it is estimated that the area has the potential for the presence of approximately 1 million ounces of gold, in addition to copper, lead, and zinc, which have not yet been evaluated.
