De - Risked 1MM Barrel Sleeping Giant

I have been on dealstream/merger network for about 12 years and have met some fine people and closed some deals.I am currently representing a very unique de- risked prospect that could be sitting on an ocean of oil about 95 miles west of Detroit, Michigan.Its interesting because two show wells have been drilled and a lot of capital invested to this point.You might say a lot of the heavy lifting has been done.It has definitely been de- risked from the first well ( that would have been considered a wildcat)
The economics make sense even at our current $65 oil price.This prospect has a huge upside with a very modest capital outlay.

Some of the highlights include:

1. A 110 Acre target that has been isolated and defined by 2 show wells a few hundred yards away ( Good well control)

2.A reasonably priced lower cost vertical - directional well to get right down to the target "pay" on the reef.

3. The reef could contain an estimated 1 million barrels of oil - $65,000,000 at todays prices.

4. Very high initial production around 200 Barrels a day. A potential 5 month payout at the current $65 crude price..

5. Millions of dollars in capital has been invested so far to this point !!

6.The operator is seeking a very reasonable and modest 15% WI carry to the tanks. He is turning an 80 % NRI to the investor.( Great Economics)

7.Dry hole costs are about $820,000..

8. The operator is an established second generation Michigan operator and geologist.Michigan a low cost oil province to operate in.

9.If successful up to 15 similar prospects available. ( These are overlooked and left behind from Mobil and Amoco's exploration in the 1970s and 80s)

10. One of the best overall deals I have seen on dealstream in my 13 plus years here.

11.Operator is interested in getting this deal drilled and tested and turned to the tanks ASAP..No waiting on a drilling rig ( could be ready to drill in 3 weeks) He is open to discussing creative ways to get this deal drilled !
