Exxon drilled the Jameson Strawn Oil Field in Sterling and Coke County between 1955-1975. The Strawn sand was completed at a depth between 6500’-7000’. Wolfcamp sections between 3700’-6200’ were basically overlooked and for the most part, untested. Several Wolfcamp zones of 100' thick have been evaluated to be "probable" oil and gas pay.
