A/B Testing
A method of controlled experimentation that compares two versions of a page, feature, or content element to determine which performs better on a defined outcome (e.g., enrollments, completion, conversion).

Accessibility (WCAG)
Designing content and platforms so people with disabilities can use them effectively, guided by standards like the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG).

Adaptive Learning

API (Application Programming Interface)
A set of protocols and endpoints that allow software systems to communicate, enabling integrations like payments, analytics, SIS/HRIS, or content services.

AR (Augmented Reality)
Technology that overlays digital information or objects onto the real world through mobile devices or headsets to create interactive learning experiences.

Assessment Analytics
Data and insights derived from quizzes, tests, and assignments (e.g., item difficulty, discrimination, mastery), used to improve assessments and instruction.

Asynchronous Learning

CDN (Content Delivery Network)

A course in which a group of learners moves through the same schedule, milestones, and live interactions together.

Required instruction to meet legal, regulatory, or policy obligations (e.g., safety, data privacy, anti-harassment).

Selecting, organizing, and maintaining high-quality learning resources from multiple sources to meet specific needs.

An IMS Global standard that connects external learning tools to platforms like LMSs for single sign-on and data exchange.
