Family Medicine Practice and Urgent Care

A community based medical practice located in the heart of a major city 35 miles east of Los Angeles in a shopping center anchored by Vons – a major supermarket.

The physician provides the following range of services:
- Family Medicine that includes Internal Medicine and Adolescent Medicine.
- Urgent Care. The ongoing shortage of primary care physicians has had a positive effect on urgent care practices.
- Other services include immigration physicals, DOT and weight loss.

The doctor is credentialed with most HMO”S including Optum, IEHP, Medical, United Health, Prospect, Scan, Alpha, etc.

Approximately 100 patients are served each week with 50% HMO, 40% PPO, 25% Medicare and 10% pay for service. The practice comes with pre-existing contracts with major insurance providers and healthcare networks that assure a steady stream of patients and revenues. The practice has automated medical records with a patient base of 10,000, and an efficient outside medical billing service.

The 2,200sq. ft. facility has 4 equipped exam rooms, a large waiting room, an integrated phone system, a private doctor’s office and a break room. The Urgent Care portion has room to expand by the buyer leasing the adjoining empty suite and opening it seven days a week vs. the current 8 am to 5 pm five days and no weekends. There is the potential for an immediate revenue increase through expansion of services, business hours and marketing efforts. The facility has plenty of parking spaces.

The practice is staffed by the Doctor’s RN spouse who supervises the two Medical Assistants, injection administration, IV infusion and blood drawing. Both Medical Assistants are expected to remain after the sale. One of them is bi-lingual Spanish.
