Transaction Process (CIF Delivery)

Buyer submits LOI and proof of funds (POF)
LOI must include fuel type, quantity, contract term, destination port, and broker details (if applicable).
Any verifiable form of POF is acceptable.
Seller verification and offer issuance
Upon verification, the seller issues a Firm Corporate Offer (FCO) directly to the buyer.
Pricing is firm and below Platts.
Broker protection (if applicable)
Brokers receive a fee protection agreement (FPA).
Commissions are remitted through a U.S. attorney’s office at closing.
Contract execution
Buyer accepts FCO and returns the executed Sales and Purchase Agreement (SPA).
Product is committed upon SPA execution.
Bank instrument and loading
Buyer’s bank issues the agreed instrument.
Upon verification, the seller loads the vessel at seller’s expense.
The bank instrument serves as collateral, not advance payment.
Shipping, inspection, and documentation
Buyer receives full shipping and compliance documentation, including charter party agreement, bill of lading, inspection reports (SGS, Intertek, Saybolt, or equivalent), certificates of origin and quality, vessel insurance, and ETA notices.
Arrival, inspection, and title transfer
Buyer boards vessel, conducts dip test and inspection per local regulations.
Certificate of title transfer is issued following inspection and lifting procedures.
