By virtue of the Financial Services (Investment Banking) Rules 2016, an entity holding an Investment Banking License may by way of business engage, in one or more of the following activities:
- Investment Dealer (Full-Service Dealer including underwriting)
- Investment Adviser (Unrestricted) License
- Investment Adviser (Corporate Finance Advisory)
- Asset Management
- Distribution of Financial Products

Once the sale is perfected existing shareholders will be gone but the main shareholder and existing management will certainly be available for a while to assist the new shareholder / this can be discussed during the evaluation process
For the new shareholder, track record in the financial fields including wealth Management / corporate finance etc / impeccable reputation / proven financial resources are key factors to the FSC .
Upon fulfillment of substance requirements, the entity holding an Investment Banking License will be exempted from corporate income tax for 5 years in Mauritius.
