This prospect is located in Van Zandt County, Texas close to an Exxon Lease that produces from the shallow Woodbine formation in the Van Oil Field.
According to Railroad Commission of Texas records, Exxon-Mobil has produced more than 26 million barrels of oil from 20 wells from their 160-acre lease that is within the Van Oil Field. This lease has been producing for more than 40 years and is now being redeveloped and is producing thousands of barrels of oil per month according to RRC records. There are several oil and gas reservoirs in this area of Van Zandt County.
