Woodbine Exploration Project, 500 Barrel Potential
The Great East Texas field is production out of the Woodbine formation. This oil field was discovered in 1930 and is still producing in 2025. It was the largest oil reservoir in the contiguous United States. The field has produced over 5 billion barrels of oil. (Wikipedia)
The Van Oil Field in Van Zandt County produces out of the Woodbine formation and several other formations in the under their lease. It was discovered in 1929 and is producing in 2025.
Potential of the Woodbine Production:
Exxon-Mobil has developed a 160 acre Woodbine lease in the Van Oil Field that has produced 26 million barrels from 20 wells out of the Woodbine formation. The depth of the Woodbine in their lease is at plus or minus 2,500'. Our Woodbine prospect is in this depth range.
