Oil and Gas Consultant

With over 30 years of versatile experience in the oil and gas industry, I have developed a deep understanding of the complexities and challenges that come with managing complex oil and gas fields. My diverse background, which includes roles such as petroleum and reservoir engineer, team leader, asset manager, and assistant professor of petroleum engineering, has equipped me with a comprehensive skill set and a holistic perspective on the industry.

In my previous role as an asset manager for an independent oil and gas company operating in Kazakhstan, I successfully led multidisciplinary teams comprising experts from various disciplines.

I have also achieved notable accomplishments, including the successful completion of a $100 Million oil and gas investment project in South Eastern Oklahoma, which had a total asset value of over a Billion Dollars. This project involved field development planning, regulatory compliance, reserves certification, and M&A activities with investment banks.

Additionally, I have served as the asset manager of the Hassi Messaoud Oil Field in Algeria, an OPEC member, overseeing the operation of 600 wells with a gross daily production of 400,000 BOPD.

Throughout my career, I have demonstrated a proven track record in managing both joint venture-based operated and non-operated assets, as well as effectively coordinating M&A requirements with leading investment banks. Furthermore, I possess expertise in full-field reservoir simulation, economic modeling, and reserves certification studies, highlighting my proficiency in these critical areas.

Beyond technical expertise, I have also made significant contributions as an assistant professor of petroleum engineering, where I upgraded the petroleum engineering program and established a SPE student chapter. I have developed and taught specialized courses in production optimization, reservoir management, and petroleum economics.

Additionally, I had the privilege of leading a team of professionals on a World Bank-funded project focused on Environmental Impact Assessment Study. My experience has honed exceptional presentation, supervision, and management skills, which have been instrumental in my successful career. Having worked in various regions, including the USA, North Africa, UK, UAE, Caspian Region, and Pakistan, I have gained a global perspective and a deep appreciation for cultural diversity. With a strong understanding of petroleum policies, production sharing agreements, divestitures and investitures, decision and risk analysis, oil and gas structured finance, and M&A within the oil and gas industry, I am confident in my ability to contribute to an organization's continued success. Moreover, my ability to develop equipment procurement strategies and resource petroleum products effectively adds further value to my skill set.
