Criteria for Projects
Small Resource or old mine with a series of high-grade drill intercepts that needs modern exploration to expand on known resources and shows evidence for regional discoveries so hence the need for a decent land package. If there is a project without a resource or old mine, the project needs a series of high-grade drill intercepts that you can clearly see strike and regional ability to make a discovery.
High-Grade resource that needs capital to expand on resources, elevate to JORC and ability to make regional discoveries and advancing the project to a level a mid tier or major group buys the project pre mining
In Summary:
No Grassroots
• Economic drill intercepts, even if limited or early-stage
• Historic mines, provided there is supporting evidence of mining grades and previous activity or large artisinals
• Existing resources, even if modest, are attractive—as long as the tenure has sufficient scale to support meaningful exploration upside (e.g. potential for multi-million-ounce gold or moderate tonnage high-grade systems) om expanding known resources and regionally making new discoveries. Can’t be small postage stamps size tenure.
• A strong preference for high-grade moderate resources over large low-grade deposits
• Brownfields projects are particularly appealing due to known mineralization and lower exploration risk
• Near-term production is not a priority—what they want is a clear path to grow an early-stage resource into something substantial
